"Back Online"
Monday, August 29, 2005 03:53 p.m.

Pictures are back online! Sorry 'bout that. ^_^;; I've read/bought/finished SO much more stuff than I've reviewed on here, and I feel rather ashamed. Maybe I should take a leaf out of Caro-chan's book and just start reviewing everything. I mean, that's what I have this blog for, ne? And it's such a PRETTY-looking blog. I like the color scheme, the pictures, etc. Why don't I USE it? u.u; I confuse myself.

So . . . new stuff. Chyuu moved to a new server (www.shining-abyss.net instead of www.nekoness.com), I became a Senior in high school, and . . . uh, stuff. ^^;; I've bought a lot of manga (yay, me!), and read even more (yay, Jen!), and if I were to review all of it, we'd have a twenty-page entry. (YUCK.) So I think I'll just start anew. Anything I read, following this entry, I shall review.

If I can keep that pledge, y'all should have something to read pretty quick. Enjoy your days.

"Reviews and . . . more Reviews"
Thursday, January 27, 2005 08:49 a.m.

So . . . I sure haven't reviewed much in a while, now have I? (And I realize my pictures don't work. I'm working on that.) Doesn't mean I haven't read/watched/perused anything lately (haha).

So what all have I been doing lately? Lots of school. And reading. And, well, stuff. But here are your rather late reviews. ^_^ (Maybe I'll try to make this monthly?)

What I shall review (eventually): Destiny and Reqiuem for the Sun by Elizabeth Hayden (there's only one more of hers, and it's a $25 hardcover -- not a chance yet), the Mirage of Blaze anime, the Samurai X: Reflections (Director's Cut) DVD, the Here is Greenwood manga volumes one and two, the Wallflowers manga volumes one and two, the Neck and Neck manga volume one, the Tokyo Babylon manga 1-5, the DNAngel manga 1-5, the Descendents of Darkness manga 1-3, the Legal Drug manga volume one, and the Snow Drop manga . . . one through something. ^_^;

I'm not going to review now, but I will review over the weekend. Stay tuned for more: soon!

"Back In Black"
Monday, July 26, 2004 03:28 p.m.

Well, I'm finally back from all my bloody trips. >>; Oh, the agony. I drove for eight days straight with one break. It hurted.

BUT! When I got back CC had the Fumoffu DVD so I got to watch it! Plus, I have Mirage of Blaze DVDs 1 & 2 to amuse me. Oooh. . .I also have a book. "Destiny" by Elizabeth Hayden. I finished "Rhapsody" and "Prophecy" on the trip (and the end of P at home). Here's my reviews:

Rhapsody:
Pretty darn good! The first part, the Overture, had different characters than the rest, but by about a third through you catch one of them, and three-fifths you catch another. . .so it was cool. I love Achmed. He kicks mondo-assage. Seriously. Who gives a fuck if he's not the most gorgeous or caring guy around, Rhap! He's cool! >>; Well, the plot was good, but you can tell it's part of a trilogy. It ends with the start of another plot. (In other words you HAVE to have Prophecy when you finish.) I really liked the book, though. A lot. I give it a
4/5.

Prophecy:
Prophecy was almost as good, but [SPOILER WARNING] Rhapsody and Ashe had way to much fecking sex. You can see where the book would be classified as Fantasy/Romance. *gags* Way too mushy. Though the action scenes were AWESOME. Also, a warning for major character death. And actual F'dor-age. Plus, you get to find out who Ashe really is. (And you aren't surprised. At all.) Rhapsody also gets to work on her mad sword skillz with Daystar Clarion and the previous Iliachenva'ar. It was more romantic and political, with a LOT more intrigue, AND A REAL DHRACIAN!, but the action and plot where pretty strong. Not as strong as Rhapsody, to be sure, but considering there has to be minor info in order for major info to make sense, we'll let it pass.

Only one book left: "Destiny". Which I have to read. As well as the five fecking chapters of "Thicker Than Water" by Kouri and Karasu. Also a new chapter of "Any Other Name" (solely by Kouri). Right now the story is being very. . .melodramatic.

Review for "Thicker Than Water"'s recent events:
Kiran was dead. Sure, they all prayed for miracles, but he was dead. It was really surprising that they brought him back, but kind of irritating, too. Sometimes you have to kill people for the good of the plot.

Now, I'm not just saying this because I don't like Kiran (and, to be honest, I don't). I'd think the same if they'd killed off Shea (who I do like) or Ian (who I like even more). It's just very irritating. Oh well. Aiden and Nikolaos are being cute. Which makes my day. Heh.

END SPOILERS

Anyway, tune in to my LiveJournal for the run-down of my trip. It'll be in cut files. ^^ Y'all have a good day, now!

"There Now"
Monday, June 28, 2004 10:46 a.m.

Heh. I have a new not-LJ-or-DJ blog. Go that. I mean, I've reverted back to pitas and free-blogs, but I did the layout myself and I'm quite proud of this bloody page. Thanks very much. ^^

Anyway, this is easier to update than the Riikei.net one, because I don't have to boot my laptop up every time. @___@ Mreow. That was a bona fide pain in the butt. I still love Aki and all the pretty lays Mandi made me, though. x33

Hmm. Well, yesterday sucked horribly. I called Katy to talk, but she went to a movie (I hope it was good, though), then went to Culver's/Wal-Mart to talk with Chris and Scott, then went home and called me in the middle of my crying-spree. I wasn't good conversation. I think she got annoyed with me.

Meh. I know my period's coming up when I get overly emotional about things. Though Dad could refrain from bitching at my eating habits EVERY TIME WE SIT DOWN TO A MEAL TOGETHER. Really. It wouldn't be all that hard. <<; That way I wouldn't get emotional and sad. Asshole.

Oh well. I'll probably call Katy in a bit and see if she wants to do something. I'm bored off my ass. (Though I've been updating FLs all morning. And looking for my lost discs. @___@ Not good.) Maybe she won't be grounded too bad for me to go over there (or her to come over here).

And I want to watch anime. The only problem is, Delane's home. Yes, now you get it: I want to watch that kind of anime. Grr. Yami no Matsuei isn't too bad. . .really. . .I'd just get grounded to high Hannah and back. Pooh. Stupid parents. ><;

I've slept a lot recently. How boring. I got fourteen hours of sleep yesterday, and at least seven last night. I think you can reach a point where you don't want any more. None. Nada. I want to do something, gaul darn it! *cough* I think I'll settle for bothering Katy-girl. *sigh* I'll update this later, I suppose. Considering my obsessive-compulsive behavior towards its HTML and how it looks. >>; Eh-heh.

"Huh."
Sunday, June 27, 2004 11:35 p.m.

Well, there. I'm done. Hisoka layout = CHECK! xDD I like knowing how to do this HTML, thanks. It's very fun. ^^ I may use this for my next Chyuu! layout. You never know. I really do like this layout, though. I seem to be black-and-white focused with most of my layouts, but that's okay -- they're all pretty. ^^ 'Soka-chan looks very good in this one, too. Contradicting himself with the "Not so Weak Anymore" while he's brushing his teeth. Thought, honestly, it just means more: He's staring you down while he's doing it. I guess you just have to infer things.

And for the capitalization in the title. Well, "Not" is the first word, so it has to be capitalized, "so" in meant to be looked at longer, so I left it little, while the last two "Weak" and "Anymore" are larger. It's small and represents the "Weak" part. Maybe it's just one of my personal oddities. Eh. <<; Anyway, I like this layout. I hope everyone else does, too. Because it's just aligned so neatly. xDD!
